Tender awarded for Lords work

City of Subiaco chief executive Stephen Tindale said he expected the project to take ‘about three months’ and Lords would reopen by the end of September.

Technical services director Alan Millard said the tender included cleaning and associated works such as airconditioning and roof tiling.

Mr Millard said a further 15 per cent contingency budget would cover the cost of any additional works that could arise from upcoming consultant reports.

Councillor Lee Hemsley said he was pleased that the price had come in at a ‘relatively low figure’.

‘Let’s get on with it because there’s a lot of people out there waiting (for Lords to reopen),’ Cr Murray Rowe said.
