Montana ArdonWestern Suburbs Weekly

THREE members of the City of Perth Surf Life Saving Club have been awarded a Commendation for Bravery from Surf Life Saving Australia.

Maddy Ardon and Kate Olver (both 20), along with patrol captain Montana Ardon (25), went to the aid of a kayaker who went into cardiac arrest 300m offshore at City Beach last March.

Ian Kininmonth (51) told his rescuers that he believed it was thanks to their swift action that he made a full recovery.

City of Perth SLSC president Stephen Carrick congratulated the trio.
