SPRING Carnival is coming to Subiaco.
Not content with just Melbourne Cup, Troy and Sophia Barbagallo have developed a concept – Tipple – that will let Perth punters enjoy the luxury, glamour and class of Derby Day as well as the main race of Spring Carnival.
Kitchener Park next to Subiaco Oval will come alive with 16 undercover marquees with hard covered floors, a pamper room and garden as well as a unique stage with audiovisual “guaranteed to impress”.
“West Australians love a great sporting event, especially Melbourne Cup,” Mr Barbagallo said.
“Perth racegoers will feel like they are standing by the race track with every race from Flemington in Melbourne and Ascot Race Course in Perth being shown on the most comprehensive audio visual set up ever seen outside of Flemington.
“We have great relationships with the most wonderful local fashion houses, the best food and beverage suppliers and after 10 years of Miss West Coast and the Royal Queensbury, we definitely have the know how.”
The couple has collaborated with Elle Boutique, Natalie Rolt, Saint the Label, Empire Rose and Reny Kestel for the event creating a tough decision for Mrs Barbagallo when it comes to choosing what to wear for Derby Day and Melbourne Cup.
“For Derby Day, traditionally the women dress exquisitely in black and white and the men get the opportunity to shine, going all out in colour and striking suit combos,” she said.
“Cup Day will be sure to see the women embrace all the colour and splendour of Spring Carnival and the latest summer fashions.
“Enjoy this excuse and opportunity to dress in the exciting new spring/summer collections hitting stores.
“Our hard flooring and shaded, bespoke setting gives women the opportunity to go all out with their outfit and shoes and truly celebrate spring carnival in style.”
