READ NOWMayor Keri Shannon said in May Mr Lyon’s appointment had become untenable because of continued delays with suspended chief executive Jason Buckley addressing a show cause notice.
The council thanked Mr Lyon for his service while in the role, and said in a statement both they and the Town’s executive fully supported the new acting chief executive.
Mr Giorgi was previously the chief executive of the City of Vincent for close to 20 years, spent 10 years as head of the Health Services Department at the City of Perth and has been at the Town of Cambridge for a number of years, initially as project director for local government reform.
