Jon BassettWestern Suburbs Weekly

THREE women are suspected to have committed fraud and car theft.

A stolen 4WD was dumped in the Wheatbelt more than 200km from where it was taken from a Kimberley Street, West Leederville home about 5am on October 26.

“The Prado was located burnt out in a roadside parking bay, approximately 10km east of Kellerberrin at 7.30am on October 31,” Constable Flick Collins said.

The thieves had entered the West Leederville house, got into its garage and took a handbag left inside and an unlocked car.

The bag had the keys to a blue Toyota Prado parked outside, in which there was also a purse with cash and credit cards.

Constable Collins said the keys were used to take the Prado before a credit card was used at a service station and a supermarket in Leederville a short time later.

CCTV from the supermarket shows the women suspected to have taken the Prado.
