Trio take trip into app creation

Staff ReporterWestern Suburbs Weekly

Damien Hatton, Matt Fontana and John Daniels met at the inaugural Startup Weekend two years ago and combined to develop the app that gives travellers details of events from festivals to markets happening all over the world.

Triplify, based at Spacecubed in the city, is still a hobby for the founders who work other jobs and fund the app themselves, but interest from several investors could change that by Christmas.

‘We’ve been having meetings with a group of Perth investors and that’s been going really well and hopefully before Christmas we’ll have that tied up,’ Mr Hatton said. ‘That (the money) will allow us to grow the company faster.

‘At the moment we’ve got quite good coverage around Australia in terms of the events but the investment will help us expand our coverage around the world.’
