WA Police seized cocaine and methylamphetamine, charging two men, after recent operations targeting members and associates of bikie gangs.

Police say they found 500g of cocaine, 180g of methylamphetamine, a modified shotgun, about 250 rounds of ammunition and two ballistic vests during the operations.

A 35-year-old man from Marangaroo has been charged over the drug and gun seizure, with police alleging they found the items during a search of his property on January 2.

A 38-year-old Atwell man has been charged in relation to the ballistic vests and other weapons police say they found during a search on his residence late last year.

He is next due to appear in the Fremantle Magistrates Court on February 28.

“It is not by chance that Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs and their associates repeatedly appear in operations targeting Established Criminal Networks involved in the distribution of illicit drugs in our community – illicit drugs that do untold harm to individuals, to families, and the broader community,” A WA Police Force spokesperson said.

“To find Outlaw Motorcycle Gang members in possession of firearms, ammunition and ballistic vests is of great concern, and reinforces the need for police to continue to target and disrupt the criminal activity associated with those gangs.

“WA Police Force will continue to make Western Australia a hostile environment for criminal gangs and criminal networks to operate.”
