UWA gets Gift from the Gods

The artwork, presented by Premier Colin Barnett last week, was created by WA artist Robin Yakinthou and is entitled Gift from the Gods.

Mr Barnett said UWA had successfully promoted excellence in learning, teaching and research, as well as significantly enhancing the cultural and social life of WA’s community.

‘This sculpture will be an important addition to UWA’s cultural precinct, a spine of arts and cultural installations and activities weaving through the campus,’ he said.

Gift from the Gods was exhibited at the 2013 Sculptures by the Sea, and was selected after consultation with the Art Gallery of WA director, UWA and Mr Barnett.
