HALE School is a finalist for a State award recognising excellence in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) education.

The Wembley Downs school is one of four secondary school finalists in the Governor’s School STEM Awards.

The awards are for schools delivering an innovative, engaging and whole-of-school approach to STEM education

Judges will visit the finalist schools in late October to help decide which will take out the top honours in November.

Three Hale students recently won a national competition for their app idea, which was part of a school project.
