HOW about presenting your bride-to-be with a division one-winning Lotto ticket on your wedding day.

The hubby bought the ticket – worth $1,104,264 – ticket from Seachange News and Gifts in Dunsborough … on the morning of his wedding, while his blushing bride was at the hair salon.

“I had to go to Coles but it wasn’t quite open yet so popped into the newsagency first and bought a ticket as I was feeling lucky because it was my wedding day,” he said.

“We checked the ticket the day after the wedding and just couldn’t believe it.

“It was meant to be.”

The couple, who have been together for more than 20 years before finally tying the knot, did not have a honeymoon planned but said after paying off the mortgage they will make some travel plans.

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said love was in the air this Valentine’s Day.

“It is so heart-warming to see a newly married couple able to start their marriage with such an amazing gift,” she said.
