Woman injured after car crashes into wall in Claremont

A WOMAN is in hospital after the car she was driving collided with a wall in Ashton Avenue, Claremont about 1.30pm today.

A St John Ambulance spokesman said the woman did not have life-threatening injuries.

“She was conscious and breathing, and was taken to Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital in an ambulance under normal road conditions,” he said.

Paramedics and fire fighters called to the crash had been told the women could have been trapped.

The cause of the crash has yet to be determined.
