Young ace hopes to trump big guns

Swinging a racquet for the first time at the age of three, Velickovic moved to Australia when he was eight and has competed in world ranked tournaments since he was 15.

He became the top player for his age group in WA and among the top eight nationally.

His International Tennis Federation ranking is 1885th, with a career high of 1314th.

Velickovic has participated in local pennants with the UWA and Blue Gum tennis clubs in the National Tennis League and also volunteers at local clubs.

Velickovic is currently in Europe training intensively for upcoming tournaments there.
