Seinfeld is second to only The Simpsons in terms of pure quotability.
It is far superior to friends in what actually matters in a sitcom: jokes.
Yes, the characters are awful people who never grow, but that is what makes them brilliant characters: they reflect humanity’s greatest flaws through a comedic prism.

I never thought I had to defend this beloved 90s sitcom but I guess no one told me life was gonna be this way.
Friends’ impact continues well after the decade it aired through real Central Perk cafes and that iconic haircut – The Rachel.
We’re viewers but we belong in this TV family because we see a bit of ourselves in them.
We sing along to ‘Smelly Cat’, wishes Monica’s apartment was ours and argue whether Ross and Rachel really were ‘on a break’.
Everyone loves a group of misfits and could this one BE any more lovable?
