Recently while exercising my dogs in that park I had a frightening experience.
My older dog decided to sit in the shade of a tree towards the end of the walk and over the hill came a tractor mower being driven at great speed closing in on my dog.
The driver had one hand on his mobile phone and the other on the steering wheel and was oblivious to my dog’s presence.
I ran waving my arms and screaming to get his attention and he quickly sped away.
It is totally unacceptable behaviour in a park where people should feel safe while exercising their animals or themselves.
I reported it to Cambridge shire, which got back to me after four days with a feeble apology.
Never turn your back on one of these machines.
