“I wanted to be active on the field as well as sponsor the club, so I got together with a group of other mums whose kids play for the club and we made up a social Saturday afternoon ladies’ team,” she said.
“Some of us have never played before, some of us haven’t played for 14, 15, 18 years, but we thought we’d give it a crack.
