Albany’s The Middleton development offers buyers many options

Natalie HordovWestern Suburbs Weekly

THE Middleton development in Albany is an opportunity to buy a future holiday home, investment property or residence for an upcoming sea change in attractive coastal location.

The project will appeal to a broad range of buyers and selling agent Rob Mason said flexible zoning allowed for permanent occupation, long or short-term rental or running a business from home.

It is just one street from the beach and residents will have easy access to Middleton Beach, Albany’s main town beach and prime recreation and relaxation destination with walking and bike paths, beautiful views, playgrounds, safe swimming enclosure and extensive shoreline with iconic Norfolk Pine trees.

There is also a vibrant local atmosphere with cafes, restaurants, a tavern and surf club facilities nearby and the area is set to become even more appealing with the transformation of the former Esplanade Hotel site to include a major hotel and additional hospitality and retail development.

Mr Mason said The Middleton was designed by Robert Gardiner Architects, the same architects responsible for the Albany Entertainment Centre, Due South Tavern complex, Albany Airport building and many striking homes throughout the area.

It is due for completion in about two years and will include five townhouses.

Each will include a light-filled open-plan living/dining area with a galley kitchen, laundry and powder room on the ground floor.

The living area will open to a garden on one side and a courtyard with a storeroom and access to secure parking for two cars on the other.

Three bedrooms, the master with balcony access, two bathrooms and a study nook are upstairs.

Provision has been made for the installation of a lift if desired.

Three townhouses remain and are priced at $735,000.

Mr Mason said there was still time to pick finishes and even slightly alter the room layouts.
