She and her husband Jack have lived in the home for 14 years and she describes it as like a Chanel Suit – quality that never dates.

It is classical, with modern touches throughout.

There is French oak flooring in the upstairs living area, Italian travertine tiling in the bathrooms, and European stone flooring in the downstairs living area.

Upstairs, the open-plan living area has walls of windows and sliding doors allowing you to enjoy the view from both inside and out on the veranda.

The downstairs living area opens to a lovely courtyard and lovely landscaped gardens.

There is even an observation gallery, with industrial-glass windows, allowing you to enjoy the views in any weather.

The home was designed by Neil Smith and built by a local Master Builder in 1991.

Mr and Mrs Smart renovated it three years ago.

They have loved the home and Augusta, but are moving back to Brisbane.

Mrs Smart said Augusta had changed tremendously over the years and was growing in popularity, with more people from Perth’s western suburbs moving there and more luxury homes being built.

“It is beautiful location and the infrastructure is constantly improving, plus we are only 30 minutes from Margaret River,” she said.
