Bexleys Real Estate’s newest member knows path to success

AS a former elite athlete, Bexleys Real Estate’s newest team member Hayley Brown knows what it takes to be successful.

She brings the same drive to succeed to her real estate career.

As Hayley Rutherford, she was a professional cyclist on the European circuit for many years, a former State and Australian champion, and represented Australia at the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

She retired from cycling in 2006 and considered a career in real estate but put it on hold while her husband Graeme, also a professional cyclist and dual Australian Olympic gold medallist, continued on the European circuit.

“Having bought and sold property overseas, in Sydney and in Perth, I have always had an interest in real estate,” Mrs Brown said. “I enjoyed the transactions, looking for property and looking through property.

“I wanted to do my sales registration by correspondence while overseas, but was worried it would expire before we returned.”

Mr and Mrs Brown and their family returned to Perth last year, and she completed her accreditation in late 2015.

Mrs Brown has joined Bexleys as their sales specialist for Mt Claremont and surrounding areas.

“We live in Mt Claremont, and I grew up in Floreat and Mt Claremont, so I know the area like the back of my hand,” Mrs Brown said.

“I just love the region, and I’m really looking forward to helping people buy and sell in the area.” n
