Blackburne’s Oracle apartments to be finished ahead of schedule

Natalie HordovWestern Suburbs Weekly

Oracle is on the corner of Aberdeen and Stirling streets, Perth, and part of the new Stirling Street precinct where the CBD, Northbridge and Highgate meet.

Blackburne founder and managing director Paul Blackburne said it was the only project under construction in that area and would introduce resort-style apartment living conveniently placed.

“We’re really excited about the progress of Oracle,” he said

“Anyone in Perth can see this architectural icon really taking shape now as it has reached full height and the feature blue curtain glass wall is over halfway up the eastern side of the building.”

The project is expected to be complete in November and will include 130 apartments.

Residents will enjoy the use of a range of amenities, including the Level 21 Rooftop, with private dining facilities, barbecue areas and media room – all with panoramic views of Perth.

Mr Blackburne said interest in Oracle remained consistent, especially as it drew closer to completion.

“For the first quarter of 2017, we have seen more than 200 enquiries and are currently selling about one apartment every 10 days,” he said.

“This brings the project to over 75 per cent sold and all three-bedroom apartments are completely sold out.”

Susan Jacobs and David Rowbottam bought a three-bedroom apartment in the development.

Their children have left home and they are looking to downsize from their four-bedroom, three-bathroom home in Mt Claremont.

“The house is too big for two people and is expensive to run,” Ms Jacobs said.

“We want to downsize our living style and our responsibilities so that we have time for other things and the freedom to choose how we spend our time.

“An apartment complex offers us the smaller living size and the release from domestic and garden duties, as well as the lifestyle changes we want.”

Ms Jacobs said they looked forward to taking advantage of the lifestyle opportunities offered by Oracle’s location.

While the three-bedroom apartments have sold out, one and two-bedroom apartments are still available, with prices starting from $420,000.
