Cafe operator sought for Halo

A CAFE is set to open at the Halo on Mount complex in West Perth.

Baltinas is seeking an operator for the new cafe space, which was previously used as a display suite for the nearly complete neighbouring Camilla Residences.

Founder Barry Baltinas said it was the first purpose-built food and beverage commercial area in Mount Street and the time was right to open it up for leasing.

“On top of Mount Street residents, the area is popular with cyclists, Kings Park and city tourists, joggers and CBD workers seeking lunchtime respite in this leafy location, as well as local executives seeking a meeting space,” he said.

“This cafe/restaurant will provide these groups with a vibrant new place to gather, so we envisage a healthy food tenancy but we’re open to ideas to make the best use of this space, which has city views.”

Mr Baltinas said the cafe was the finishing touch on his vision for the sought-after precinct, which as well as Halo and Camilla also includes the New York City-style six storey homes at 39 Mount Street.

“These projects have seen us bring this area to life over the past eight years and it’s rewarding to see our vision unfold,” he said.

The 163sq m tenancy at 24/35 Mount Street is fully enclosed with acoustic glazing and trading seven days a week is preferable.
