She made the move from highly successful agent to business owner, opening LJ Hooker Claremont in 2015 and building a team around her.

During this time she continued to achieve strong personal results, again placing in the Real Estate Business top 100 salespeople.

Her team also made a strong impression on the market and LJ Hooker Claremont was a finalist for the Real Estate Business New Office award.

Initially focusing on sales, this year the team expanded its services, with Janine Healey overseeing the growing property management portfolio.

“I want to offer a complete real estate service, from sales and property management through to settlements and finance through the LJ Hooker Group,” Mrs Yap said.

“As a member of the LJ Hooker network we also have a strong digital presence, ensuring a high level of exposure for our clients and ensuring the market is well informed.”

In addition to established real estate, LJ Hooker Claremont also has the capability to offer project marketing services and was recently appointed to market The Crest – Burswood, a major residential and hotel development.

As a small team, it offers accountability to its clients and itself.

Mrs Yap said their structure meant clients were always able to touch base with LJ Hooker Claremont at any time and receive an update on their property transaction.

“We have a seven-day-a-week culture, knowing that sometimes the most inconvenient time for us to do business is the most convenient time for our clients,’’ she said.

“A lot of agents say they are available around the clock, but we really commit to that promise.

“We make sure we’re available at any time and are always keeping our clients abreast of the progress of their property.” n
