Natalie HordovWestern Suburbs Weekly

NANCY Sinatra sang “these boots are made for walking” and the team from Knight Frank will definitely need some good walking boots when they take on the Cape to Cape track this week.

The 135km walk runs along the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge, starting and finishing at the lighthouses at Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin.

Calling themselves the Cape Crusaders, 21 staff members across Knight Frank’s Perth operations have set themselves the task of completing the track in just five days and will need to walk an average of 27km per day.

The walk is part of Knight Frank’s annual Day of Giving activities and fundraising initiatives and will raise funds for beyondblue.

Knight Frank WA managing director Craig Dawson said the team had been training for the walk.

“In preparing for this event, we have held several whole-of-group training sessions through Bold Park,” he said.

“Individuals have participated in their own training, from soft sand beach walks to the bush trails throughout Kalamunda and beyond.

“One team member went as far as to compete in the recent City to Surf marathon.

“We are all very much looking forward to this adventure and at the same time raising money and awareness for a great cause.”

They have been overwhelmed with support, exceeding their fundraising target of $10,000.
