Their parents purchased the home from an LJ Hooker agent and more than 50 years later LJ Hooker again played a role, with Vivien Yap auctioning the home on Saturday, August 20.

Roz Davies said her parents bought the home in 1965, just before decimalisation, and paid six thousand pounds, about $12,000.

“My mum wanted one of the grand houses closer to the highway, with more character features, but it was 500 pounds more and my father wouldn’t pay that much,” she said.
