THE western suburbs will get a new gourmet grocer with Blackburne securing an IGA for its Essence development in Claremont.
The operator and owner has a portfolio of IGA stores throughout Perth said the new shop would offer Claremont residents a new level of convenience with doors open seven days a week, competitive pricing, friendly customer service and fresh produce.
It will include an onsite butcher, daily baked goods, fresh fruit and vegetables and high-quality ready-made meals, with the aim of catering to all diets.
Blackburne managing director Paul Blackburne said the grocer presented the perfect fit for the luxury development.
“It was important to us that we sourced a retailer that had strong experience in this retail space and is going to be able to satisfy the needs of the suburb’s demographics,” he said.
“Essence is set to provide an enviable combination of luxury living and a truly connected lifestyle, giving people more choice of not only where to live, but where to shop.”
Construction has begun on the development on the corner of Davies and Shenton roads, with completion set for mid-2019.
