Investors should look at Vasse Estate

Natalie HordovWestern Suburbs Weekly

INVESTORS looking for a sound investment should consider Vasse Estate, according to Hanson Property director Sam Hanson.

“The 2016 Census recorded a median rent of $410 per week in Vasse and coupled with consistently low vacancy rates it is a very attractive proposition for investors,” Mr Hanson said.

He said Vasse was one of the South-West’s most significant developments.

“It’s currently in the early stages of a major growth phase, strongly backed by a master plan that includes a projected 7500 residents and 1000 jobs and strong local population growth,” he said.

“It has excellent infrastructure and the location, which is easily accessible for the three major towns of Busselton, Margaret River and Dunsborough, is extremely appealing and convenient for both homeowners and tenants.”

Vasse’s infrastructure includes the Vasse Village Centre with 5ha of retail, commercial and showroom space; Coles, Vasse Medical and McDonalds are already operating.

There is also a business park with 150 lots for businesses, and primary and secondary schools with more than 1300 students.

Vasse is the preferred site for the proposed new Busselton Tafe campus.

Mr Hanson said the proposed and current infrastructure provided essential services, as well as offering a range of employment opportunities, all of which attracted residents, while the schools were well-regarded and another major drawcard.

“We are finding tenants are attracted to the area due to the high-quality schools available, complemented by the master-planned network of cycle and walkways seamlessly linking residents to parks, shops and schools,” he said.

“To top this off, Vasse is within minutes of the sparkling waters of Geographe Bay and everything else people love about living in the South-West.”

Stages 3A & 3B of the Dawson Estate, the latest land release at Vasse, give investors the opportunity to buy land, build a new home and target the South-West market.

However, buying and building can be time-consuming and stressful, particularly when you do not live locally.

Hanson Property provides a complete service and can assist investors with a house and land package in Dawson Estate, from purchasing the land to liaising with a builder, and then finding a reliable tenant once construction is complete.

Lot prices start from $150,000.
