She also founded a management consulting firm in Sydney, servicing the senior executives of some of Australia’s largest corporations, selling the firm four years later to a US NASDAQ-listed company.

With such a strong corporate background, a move into real estate would seem unlikely.

“I fell into it,” Mrs Fewster said.

“I was looking for something more and I didn’t want to go back into the corporate world of managing large numbers of staff or living on aeroplanes.”

Real estate seemed like a natural choice.

“You could probably say a passion for real estate is a family trait,” Mrs Fewster said.

“My husband and I have been buying, renovating and selling properties in Mosman Park and Peppermint Grove for years.”

Mrs Fewster started her career just after the GFC, working at the top end of the market.

“It was very tough,” she said.

“Sellers were having to make hard decisions.”

She started by assisting a senior sales representative, moving on to working on her own and now manages her own team within the Acton Cottesloe office.

“I have just brought on my third full-time sales executive as a buyer-manager, so that I can focus solely on negotiating deals and getting the best possible prices for my vendors,” Mrs Fewster said.

A career highlight was selling $9.6 million worth of property in one transaction.

Last month Mrs Fewster sold $16.365 million worth of properties, which was another highlight.

“October has been my best month yet,” she said.

“I sold one off the market after the first viewing and sold one after the first home open.

“Quality homes priced well, sell well.”

Mrs Fewster is also a very active member of the community and has a long association with Parkerville Children and Youth Care.

She was appointed to the board earlier this year.

“Parkerville makes a huge difference to the lives of those they help,” she said.

‘I want to help them make an even greater difference, and I cannot think of any organisation I would be more proud to be associated with.” n
