“I am super excited to be working within a team of people I really admire,” he said.

“Making the transition was a very considered decision for me, but I am a firm believer in gut instincts and the move to LJ Hooker Claremont just felt right.”

Mr McGuirk started his real estate career a little over two years ago, working his way up from a sales support role to sales executive.

He experienced early success.

“One of the first listings I had as a solo agent was a stunning architectural home in Cottesloe which I sold to a cash buyer and set the street record for 2016,” he said.

“Starting from the bottom has given me a comprehensive understanding of every facet in relation to a real estate transaction and I think this level of determination translates well with my clients.”

Mr McGuirk will focus on North Cottesloe and the Cottesloe Village precinct as well as handling apartment sales in Claremont.

He said the market was looking positive. “At the moment there is a lot of brand new product coming on the market in the Claremont area so it’s a great time for people to buy an older style apartment to renovate, as you can make a great profit even in this market,” he said.

“In Cottesloe, the market is hot and there is definitely an undersupply of homes.” n
