WITH her parents in the Air Force, Michelle Kerr lived in 21 homes while she was growing up.
“We had a very nomadic lifestyle and I developed a strong interest in property,” she said.
A career in building, renovation and property development led to real estate sales and she joined the team at Abel McGrath – The Property People Claremont.
Mrs Kerr soon established herself as Nedlands’ top agent, according to REIWA figures.
She attributes her success to her distinct service and her passion for the local market.
“One of the common complaints I hear from people is that they listed with a particular agent and never heard from them again, dealing with various team members instead,” Mrs Kerr said.
“I offer a concierge-style service and only work with a maximum of 10 clients at a time.
“This allows me to be dedicated to my clients and be involved with their property transaction every step of the way.
“I’m at the photo shoot, home opens, negotiations and contract signings; by keeping on top of things at every stage, I get a very good outcome.”
Mrs Kerr’s background in renovation and building also allows her to offer a home preparation service.
“We do a home audit and put together a plan of what our clients need to do to get their property ready for sale. We can even organise the tradespeople if necessary,” she said.
As a Nedlands resident, Mrs Kerr understands the area’s vast appeal.
“We moved to Nedlands when the children were young and like most buyers, we were attracted by the lifestyle on offer, good schools and proximity to the river and the city,” she said. n
