TWO Perth agencies took home honours at the Real Estate Institute of Australia’s (REIA) National Awards for Excellence, hosted by Reiwa at Crown Perth last week.

Mint Real East director Peter Clements was named Residential Salesperson of the Year for a second consecutive year and Applecross-based Rentwest Solutions won the Communication Award.

The National Awards for Excellence aim to encourage, recognise and promote excellence and best practice in the Australian real estate profession and represent the highest accolade REIA can bestow.

Reiwa chief executive Neville Pozzi said it was a privilege to have hosted the national awards in WA.

“The evening was a tremendous success and I am delighted we were able to showcase our great state and city to the rest of the country,” he said.

“I would like to congratulate all of the 2019 National Award for Excellence finalists on the outstanding service they provide to their clients and communities.”

WA was well represented on the night, with winners from the 2018 Reiwa Awards for Excellence featuring as finalists in 12 of the 16 national Award categories.

“To be eligible to compete in the National Awards for Excellence, you must first win your category at a state level,” Mr Pozzi said.

“I’d like to congratulate all of our local finalists on their exceptional efforts in representing WA on the national stage.

“Of course, a special congratulations must go to Rentwest Solutions and Peter Clements.

“The WA property market remains a challenging environment for real estate professionals.

“The high levels of service our finalists have continued to provide their clients in spite of these conditions is a true testament to their professionalism, hard work and dedication.”
