“It was the most beautiful night, with friends and family gathered around the pool area with a live band under the cabana,” they said.

The master bedroom has a wing on the ground floor and is a lovely retreat for parents with spotted gum flooring, walk-in robe, pool views and resort-style ensuite with deep freestanding bath, shower and double vanity unit.

Another bedroom/study on this floor is near a bathroom and could be ideal for guests.

The first floor is dedicated to the children, with a few bonus areas for parents.

There are three spacious bedrooms with built-in robes and a bathroom with bath, shower, double vanity unit and separate toilet.

There is also a theatre room with full projector set-up and sitting area that opens to a balcony where the owners enjoyed sitting with a glass of wine in the evening and taking in the view.

The room that might cause a bit of family friction is the games room.

Complete with a kitchenette, it could be a great entertaining area for the kids and their friends.

However, it also has a mirrored wall and would make an ideal gym or pilates/dance studio.

It could also be another living area where you can relax and take in the park views. That is a decision the new owners will have to make.

The owners chose to build in this location, liking the park outlook and proximity to the river, and have enjoyed morning runs or walks along the river and walks up to Steve’s on the weekend for a bite to eat.

They said Dalkeith Village shops were also close by, which was very convenient.

With only one child still living at home, they have made the decision to downsize.

“We would like to do a smaller development, as we enjoyed this build so much,” the owners said.
