RETIRED farmers from Denmark Pete and Pat Rees bought this two-storey home six years ago, looking for accommodation for their children while they furthered their education and a place for themselves to stay on their many visits.
“We were attracted to Wembley because of the close location to Perth city and surrounding areas, beaches and the wonderful Lake Monger and Herdsman Lake walks,” they said.
“This home was perfect for us: it is attractive, open, filled with natural light with high ceilings and large rooms on an easy-care block with gardens with reticulation.”
The home’s ground floor has plenty of living space, with a large music room/study and open-plan family/dining/kitchen area with tiled flooring.
The Rees family have enjoyed many wonderful get-togethers here.
The master bedroom is also on this floor and has a built-in robe and spacious ensuite.
There are three good-sized bedrooms with built-in robes upstairs, along with a bathroom and another sitting/study area.
The home is on a 251sq m block in a quiet, tree-lined street in the catchment zones for Wembley Primary School and Churchlands Senior High School and in walking distance of public transport.
Now the children have flown the coop, Mr and Mrs Rees no longer need the home. They said their children can now accommodate them.
