AFTER spending time in London, where they were impressed by Georgian architecture, the owners wanted to replicate that style in Perth.
They engaged the late, renowned architect Marcus Collins to build this glorious home and said it was his first domestic residence after spending six years studying Georgian architecture in London.
The home was built between 1983 and 1985 by Martin Gladwell.

“A large number of the doors and windows came from an early 20th-century building at Christchurch Grammar School, the marble fireplaces from the old Commonwealth Bank building in Mouat Street, Fremantle, the magnificent cedar front doors and matching billiard room doors came from Forester’s Arms lodge in East Perth, and the panelling in the billiard room from the Parker building in St George’s Terrace.”
The home is set among ornate formal gardens which add to the feel of living in an English manor.

They have many happy memories of their time in Crewe Street, including hosting their eldest son’s wedding reception and the friendliness of the neighbourhood, which holds a Christmas street party.
