It was designed by Pavlo Szyjan and built by Brian Burke homes in 2007.
The owners have lived there for five years and said they believe the inspiration for the design was nautical, like a grand ocean liner.
No expense was spared in its construction and there is something amazing to catch your eye at every turn, such as the main open-plan living area with curved, timber-lined ceiling, drop-down TV and Jetmaster fireplace.
Or the kitchen with Arabascato marble splashback, gleaming columns from the island bench to the ceiling, scullery and Miele appliances including oven, steam oven, combination microwave, induction cooktop, coffee maker and warming drawer.
And perhaps the marble and sheoak bar with porthole view to Rottnest will take your fancy.
Then outside there is a gorgeous heated pool and courtyard offering a resort-style ambience.
Once you have finished admiring these glorious features your gaze will turn to the ocean views.
You can enjoy them from the curved balcony with outdoor kitchen with barbecue, granite benchtops and integrated fridge and where glass bi-fold doors and windows create a protected space, allowing for year-round use.
The owners said the balcony and open-plan living area was their favourite place in the home and offered 180-degree ocean views.
“It is wonderful place to relax as a couple or with our kids and also for entertaining small or large groups – we have had a function here for 85 people,” they said.
The quality features also extend to the five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The master bedroom has pool and ocean views, an opulent open-plan ensuite with Arabascato marble and a dressing area with storage for shoes and jewellery and a walk-in robe.
The owners have added to the home’s features, installing a custom-built, temperature-controlled wine cellar in 2015 that can store over 1000 bottles of wine, and a cantilevered carport in 2017 to make use of the extensive parking available.
The home also has a lift, reading nook on the mezzanine level, theatre room, home office with jarrah and sheoak cabinetry, home organisation nook and double garage with gym.
Other features include a passive solar design and solar panels, ample storage, ducted airconditioning, C-Bus system, ducted vacuum system, underfloor powerpoints, concealed pool cover and garden shed.
All of this is on a 922sq m block in a quiet cul-de-sac with a park at the end of the street, opposite City Beach oval and in walking distance of the beach. n
