OWNERS Steve and Candy De Luca believe this house was built by a couple who were passionate about gardening.
“The house is designed to access the outdoors from the social spaces,” they said.
“We’ve liked relaxing on the veranda with a gin and tonic in the early evening and watching the bird life that frequents the garden.
“And sitting by the window in the front lounge, you can enjoy views of the greenery across the whole garden.”
Mr and Mrs De Luca bought the home in 2014, liking its classic design, with traditionally detailed doors and windows.
“It is a timeless home, with a lovely veranda and french doors accessing the secluded garden,” they said.
“The usable indoor and outdoor spaces made it ideal for a young family looking for an easy, fun and romantic lifestyle.
“And it is well-built and cleverly positioned, staying cool in summer, warm and weatherproof in winter.”
The four-bedroom, one-bathroom home has ample space for a family, with formal living and dining areas, as well as a large family room.
All the living areas open to the alfresco area.
The outdoor areas have been upgraded recently, and include access to a powder room.
“The garden beds were re-landscaped and planted and we added a climbing fort for the kids and a dining area for us,” Mr and Mrs De Luca said.
“The result is beautiful, usable indoor and outdoor spaces for the whole family and for entertaining friends of all ages.”
The family are moving to the South-West to enjoy a tree change on an acreage.
“We’ve truly loved living here and it has been a perfect home with young kids,” Mr and Mrs De Luca said.
Mr and Mrs De Luca said Floreat was a picturesque suburb with many green spaces, close to both the city and beach.
“We’ve enjoyed the brilliant cafes and restaurants a short stroll away and the vast green spaces of Perry Lakes and Bold Park,” they said. n
