REIWA getting behind Salvation Army’s Sleeping Bag Appeal

Natalie HordovWestern Suburbs Weekly

The Sleeping Bag Appeal is part of the Salvos’ Winter Appeal to help the homeless in WA by collecting warm sleeping bags and blankets to distribute to those in need.

REIWA president Hayden Groves said the cold winter months in Perth were especially difficult for homeless people and the donation of warm sleeping bags and blankets could make a big difference to their comfort levels.

“This year we hope to be swamped with donations,” he said.

“I encourage everyone to participate so we can help the Salvos provide much-needed warmth for those in Perth sleeping rough.”
