THE owners said the location was what appealed most when they bought this home on a 505sq m block.

“The home is six minutes from the train station and zoned for both Rosalie and Subiaco primary schools as well as Shenton College,” they said.

“It’s in a very quite street and has so much in walking distance.”

Built in the 1930s, with an extension added later, the home had some lovely character features and an open feel, but it needed some TLC.

The owners have given it a thorough renovation and it is a delightful combination of character charm and modern comforts.

High ceilings, deep decorative cornices, sash windows and polished floorboards remain, and the home has been painted inside and out and the bathroom and kitchen have been replaced and are wonderfully modern.

The outdoor areas have also had a makeover.

The three-bedroom, one bathroom home has a separate lounge room and an open-plan living area.

The owners said this was one of their favourite places in the home.

“With its wall of windows it is very light and bright, and with its view of the pool, garden and gazebo, is the perfect place to relax and watch the kids play,” they said.
