Natalie HordovWestern Suburbs Weekly

LINED with jacaranda trees, Old Jacaranda Way is aptly named and is a lovely setting for this magnificent two-storey home.

Built in 2000 by Webb and Brown Neaves, it has been beautifully renovated inside and out by the current owners.

They left no stone unturned, installing new ceilings, repainting, removing walls and installing high quality fittings and fixtures to create a modern, light-filled home where you will live in comfort and style.

The spacious open-plan living area has soaring ceilings and freshly polished Tasmanian oak flooring.

The children can sit here and enjoy a movie on the state of the art home theatre system, while you spend some quiet time in front of the fire in the formal lounge room.

Sliding doors in the formal lounge and living rooms opens to a delightful courtyard where you can comfortably entertain guests.

It is also a lovely place to while-away an afternoon, surrounded by the pretty gardens with established hedges and flowerbeds.

Whether you are cooking for your family or preparing an amazing meal for guests, the new, state of the art Nobilia kitchen is sure to impress.

It has two integrated Liebherr fridge/freezers, Corian benchtops and Miele appliances including steam oven, convection oven and plate warmer.

There is plenty of storage with soft-closing drawers, slide-out pantries and spice racks.

It is one of the owners’ favourite places, where friends and family gather for meals and conversations.

Three generously-sized bedrooms, with walk-in robes, are upstairs.

There is also a large studio with high vaulted ceilings and access to a north-facing balcony overlooking the courtyard.

It can be used as a teenager’s retreat or a private living room.

The two luxurious bathrooms have floor-to-ceiling German sandstone tiling and Corian benchtops.

The owners bought the home five years ago and found the location very attractive.

“It must be one of the most beautiful suburbs in Perth,” they said.

“The neighbourhood is lovely and quiet, with tree-lined streets and manicured rose beds and flower gardens lining the footpaths.

“The house looks wonderful from the outside, particularly in spring when the jacaranda trees are in bloom, and with the roses and lemon and apple trees lining the front of the property.”

The 353sq m property’s location is not only attractive, it is convenient; just minutes from the city in one direction and the beach in the other.

Parks, restaurants, cafes, the train, weekend markets and some of the best schools in WA are all nearby.

The owner works on St George’s Terrace, which is just 4km, or a 15 minute bicycle ride, away and likes to surf at City Beach, only 6km away.

“We also enjoy the proximity to Rokeby Road where we can visit the markets and cafes and get some noodles on nights that we don’t feel like cooking,” they said.
