Natalie HordovWestern Suburbs Weekly

OWNERS Justin and Ariane Anning bought this property five years ago intending to subdivide and develop.

The original home was demolished in January 2015 and this house, designed by MacCorman Architects and built by Ian Collins Homes, was completed in February 2016.

The design makes the most of the natural slope of the 419sqm block, which falls 3m from north to south, and the house was built into the site, creating two ground floors.

The exterior is bold and spectacular with charcoal split faced block work with alternating smooth face concrete blocks on the lower level and grey Equitone panels on the upper level.

Inside, the lower level includes the garage, storeroom, two bedrooms, a bathroom and living area.

An open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is on the upper level with the master bedroom and ensuite, study (fourth bedroom) and laundry.

A magnificent Pietra Grigio fireplace, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling marble, takes centre stage in the living room.

Huge sliding doors open to a north-facing courtyard that captures valley glimpses to the south-east.

The new owners of this striking modern home will enjoy luxury living in a great coastal location.

Offers in the high $1 millions are due by June 7.
