AFTER taking top honours at last month’s 2019 HIA Truecore steel Perth Housing Awards, Zorzi has claimed the WA Home of the Year accolade at the 2019 HIA CSR WA Housing Awards.
“The Residence”, a stunning, custom-built, three storey, four-bedroom, four-bathroom Mt Pleasant house was also named Custom Built Home and Outdoor Project.
The home features exterior stonework, multiple living spaces including a home theatre room with bar, golf simulator, opulent ensuite with river views, huge outdoor area designed for regular gatherings of 70-plus people, and infinity-edge pool with sun bed ledge, spa and spectacular views.
HIA WA regional executive director Cath Hart said attention to detail, flair and innovation were key features in the win.
“Zorzi’s Mt Pleasant home was an absolute standout and HIA’s judges said the detail in the construction was extraordinary – the design phase was meticulous in its consideration of the lifestyle and delivered to an unbelievable standard,” she said.
Karamfiles Builders was another multi-award winner, collecting the awards for Regional Home, Liveable Home and Framed House for its project in Deanmill, near Manjimup.
Ms Hart said the awards had a significant number of entries again in 2019, despite challenging market conditions.
“The designs and workmanship detail to come out of this year’s winners is a true example of what our members are capable of delivering in Western Australia,’’ she said.
“All of the winners and finalists winners have really showcased their commitment and dedication to their clients and the residential housing industry’’.
WA Housing Minister Peter Tinley also attended the 2019 HIA CSR Western Australian Housing Awards with an audience of 250 HIA members and industry professionals to celebrate the success of WA’s best residential builders.
Ms Hart said the award finalists were made up of winners from the Great Southern, Mid West, South West and Perth HIA regional housing awards.
“This year’s finalists delivered a high standard of projects, creating a healthy and exciting competition across Western Australia,” she said.
