Staff ReporterWestern Suburbs Weekly

The teammates and friends joined the club three years ago and juggle their hockey commitments with swimming and playing cricket and, for Rebecca, lacrosse.

The Perry Lakes-based club caters for players from age four, hosting skills and match sessions on Saturday mornings. Players in years three and four play in a nine-a-side competition and those up to Year 12 compete in the HockeyWA Junior Competition.

YMCC also has men’s and women’s seniors and vets teams, with former Kookaburra Jamie Dwyer playing for the club’s premier league team.

Top grade women’s player Katie Jolly (20) has played for YMCC for seven years, working her way through the junior and senior ranks.
