THE Perth Scorchers will be looking to bounce back against Sydney Thunder at the WACA Ground today.

The Scorchers meet the Thunder again after losing a Women’s Big Bash League thriller to the ladder leader at Lilac Hill yesterday.

The Thunder skipped a game clear of their Sydney rivals, the Sixers, at the top of the ladder after their final-ball victory over Perth.

The Scorchers needed three runs off the final delivery and Mathilda Carmichael was on her way back for a second run to tie the game, when she was run out. The final score was Thunder 6-145 and the Scorchers 6-144.

The Scorchers, who made last season’s final, are fourth with four wins from seven matches.

They play today at 1.30pm ahead of the sold-out men’s game between the Scorchers and the Melbourne Renegades at 6.25pm.
