WEMBLEY’s hold on top spot in WA Amateur Football’s B-League was shaken on the weekend with a three-goal loss to the Mt Lawley Hawks at Hamer Park.
The Hawks ran out winners 9.8 (62) to 6.8 (44), with David McKinlay kicking three vital goals for Mt Lawley in a dour affair.
It was an important win for Mt Lawley, who are third on the ladder and separated from second-placed Whitfords and fourth-placed Kingsway by percentage.
Wembley now has three teams on nine wins snapping at their heels, while the Magpies sit on ten wins.
