Football: West Coast add Claremont’s Francis Watson to playing list

Lisa ThomasWestern Suburbs Weekly

CLAREMONT player Francis Watson has been added to the final position on the West Coast Eagles player list.

The 21-year-old was recruited last week as a category B rookie through the recently formed Next Generation Academy System.

The defender follows East Perth player Tarir Bayok, an explosive midfielder of Sudanese heritage, as a rookie to be listed with West Coast under the new AFL academy system.

He also averaged just over 14 disposals in 12 reserves games with Claremont, which included its Premiership win over East Perth.
