There will be four teams; an under-18s, two under-15s and an 8-12 years group.

Secretary Margie Oldfield said in the past girls had to join boys teams, but often dropped out as they got older.

‘The WACA is being proactive in developing programs for girls cricket,’ Oldfield said.

‘Anybody can join. Most of our players are from Scarborough, Swanbourne, Leederville, Wembley, Floreat, Claremont and Nedlands.’
