NEDLANDS Rugby Union Club’s under-13s team is on a winning streak.

The youngsters beat Rockingham 39-19 in the Gold division grand final this month with the highest score across the junior finals series.

The same team won the under-12 Gold premiership last year and has been victorious in the annual RugbyWA sevens competition for three consecutive seasons.

The Neddies boys have also tasted success on the international stage, winning the annual Centaurs Rugby 10s juniors competition in Singapore for two of the past three seasons.

Coach Mark Drummond said the players had challenged themselves to be the best they could be against the top players in their age group.

“Their efforts have encouraged the club’s other junior teams to do the same, with the Neddies under-11s and under-12s also playing in the top Gold division of the competition.”

Neddies had under-13s teams in the Gold and Swan divisions and the club’s under-14 team won through to the Swan grand final.
