Netball: Phantoms are minor premiers

PHANTOMS are minor premiers in the open division 1 Perth Netball Association competition at Matthews Netball Centre and will play City Beach Surfers (1) in the semi-final on Saturday. Phantoms also scored the most goals for the season.

Classics (1) were minor premiers in the junior division 1 competition and will play MLC this week, while Classics (2) were Year 7-8 division 1 minor premiers and will line up against St Hilda’s this week.

In the open division, Phantoms defeated Classics (2) 95-31, Jets beat Floreat 48-40, CBS (1) had a 59-46 win over CBS (2) and Classics (1) defeated Scarborough 60-31.

MLC (1) defeated John XXIII College 52-27 in the junior division 1 match on the weekend, while CBS (1) beat West Coasters (1) 50-32, Classics (1) had a 70-20 win over Classics (2) and Storm defeated CBS (2) 39-35.

In the Year 7-8 division 1 games CBS (1) defeated Newman Sienna Netball Club 39-35, MLC beat Scarborough 41-33, WC had a 57-34 win over Mercedes and Classics (2) defeated St Hildas 52-33.
