Netball: Western Sting can climb to third with weekend win over Canberra Darters

WESTERN Sting needs to beat the Canberra Darters in the Australian Netball League (ANL) in Melbourne this weekend to potentially climb to third spot on the ladder.

Sting had their 50th ANL win when they defeated the Victorian Fury at the State Netball Centre in Perth during the last round.

The WA team has dominated contests against the Darters winning all eight matches by an average margin of 26 goals.

Last year’s grand finalists the Victorian Fury and Southern Force will also go head to head this round with their game played as the curtain raiser to the Championship match between the Melbourne Vixens and Adelaide Thunderbirds at Margaret Court Arena tomorrow afternoon.
