Premier Cricket: Claremont-Nedlands secures minor premiership despite loss to Scarborough

CLAREMONT-NEDLANDS clinched the Kevin Sullivan Silver Cup for the Premier Cricket minor premiership despite losing to Scarborough on Saturday.

With Fremantle losing to South Perth, the Tigers hold an unassailable 16-point lead at the top with one round to play, earning their first piece of silverware for the season.

On Saturday at Abbett Park, Scarborough’s batting was immense in pursuit of 250 with Wes Robinson scoring an unbeaten century to guide the hosts to 4-336.

Ed Barnard scored 96 in his last game for the side to finish a terrific campaign.
