Set sail for fun and adventure

Staff ReporterWestern Suburbs Weekly

‘This is a fantastic way to have a great day out with your partner, friends, work colleagues or family to find out how fun, safe, accessible, and affordable sailing is,’ Discover Sailing Day organiser Dean Caple said.

Novice sailors as young as five can sail with an experienced sailor, while other visitors can inspect the club’s facilities.

‘The aim is to get people out on the water with someone to show you don’t need your own expensive boat to sail,’ Mr Caple said.

Boats and safety equipment are provided by the club, but participants need shoes with non-marking soles, clothes than can get wet, sunscreen and a hat.
