The crew of experienced offshore rowers met Governor-General Peter Cosgrove and his wife Lynne at the Albany centenary events.

The crew participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at Albany’s Middleton Beach where they discussed their plans with Sir Peter.

Next April, the crew will travel to Turkey and about 30 surf boats from Australia and New Zealand will compete in the Gallipoli 100 Surfboat Race over a 53km, two-day course along The Dardanelles channel, rounding the Gallipoli Peninsula and finishing at Anzac Cove where the troops landed.
